Our Mission is to:

The mission of St. Thomas Anglican Church, through the Grace of God, is to follow Jesus as individuals and as a caring community, proclaiming by word and example the love of God in Christ.

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

The Marks of Mission

These five Marks of Mission are a framework used to describe and encourage ministry throughout the worldwide Anglican Communion:

  • To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom
  • To teach, baptize, and nurture new believers
  • To respond to human need by loving service
  • To seek to transform unjust structures of society
  • To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth

As a Christ-centred Church reaching out to our community and the world, St.Thomas upholds:

  • the Bible as God’s Word
  • Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life bringing us to the Father
  • the Holy Spirit as the One who gives life to our worship and work
  • and the mandate to love one another as Christ first loved us
